Rancho San Rafael Regional Park

January 17 @ 7:11 PM

Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, spanning 580 acres, is the largest and most dynamic park in Washoe County. This expansive park offers a diverse landscape, from manicured lawns to native pasture grasses, wetland habitats, and dusty sagebrush. Beyond its natural beauty, the park is a hub for community events, most notably the Great Reno Balloon Race, and hosts numerous other special events throughout the year. Visitors can explore the Wilbur D. May Museum and the Wilbur D. May Arboretum & Botanical Garden, along with a visitor center, the historic Ranch House, and the Nevada Farms and Families Area.

The park features a wealth of amenities, including Herman’s Pond, five large reservable picnic pavilions, and dozens of individual sites perfect for family gatherings or quiet picnics. Additionally, the Basque Sheepherder Monument, a disc golf course, and miles of scenic trails offer endless recreational opportunities. With a playground, dog park, volleyball court, horseshoe area, exercise area, and multiple pathways for hiking and biking, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park invites you to come and explore its rich offerings year-round.
